As Provectus York begins to prosper again after the Cyborg War, a dark city in the shadows of Provectus decides to rise up again. They're led by an Anarchist, a reckless rule-breaker. His name is Inferno.

I'm in a world where there are a lot of trials. Trials for everything. One of the biggest is the Trial of the Catacombs. This is one challenge you cannot turn down, one that you cannot make either. You can only be challenged by one of the Challengers...and it just so happens that they're the only ones who've ever survived the Trial of the Catacombs. Few people do, which is why being a Challenger is such an honor. And I've just been challenged to it.

As a joke, a large group of impulsive teenagers enter the catacombs. But after they travel deep into the labyrinth of bones, they discover that someone or something has killed one of the teens. Realising what they have gotten themselves into, they try to escape the underground maze, but soon discover that it has been changing right underneath their noses, almost as if it has a mind of it's own.
