I am a queen. A ruler. A legend. At least, that's what I thought. Once the proud ruler of my own queendom, I had everything a supreme cat could ever want: a loyal servant, endless admiration, and absolutely no tolerance for annoying creatures. But when a mysterious silver beast dares to enter my life, my purr-fect world quickly turns into a complete cat-astrophe. Now trapped inside a dreadful "center" surrounded by suspicious animals, confusing humans, and a robotic rival, I must protect my royal reputation and prove that I am still the star of the show. Obviously, I will succeed. Because every great queen deserves a happily ever after... right?

In 2100, the air we breathed disappeared. Seventy-five years later, the last survivors live inside self-sustaining spheres, isolated from the outside world and waiting for the day life can return to Earth. This story follows three characters : Alyssa, a devoted scientist. Mitch, a rebellious teenager convinced the government is hiding the truth. Which is something that surprised Persephone, she has never expected her dear friend to lose her dignity over something that happened 10 years ago...by none other than Persephone's own husband.

This is a short story that won first place in my district writing contest, it is about a girl who is simple and normal who lives in the ghettos of her city. Everyday is the same for her and she hopes for a new life, when I small sickly green cat crosses her path and follows her home she soon realizes that she is the only one who can see it, and this is where her story that never truly ends, begins.
