For my English project, I have to write poetry representing Holden Caulfield from The Catcher In The Rye. So here we go!

This book is inspired by my two favorite books: 'the catcher in the rye', and 'its kind of a funny' A mentally ill girl, who decided to do an exchange year, while trying to fight depression and other mental illnesses

A story based off the events of Catcher In the Rye by J.D Salinger

The Catcher in the Rye is a 1951 novel by J. D. Salinger. A controversial novel originally published for adults, it has since become popular with adolescent readers for its themes of teenage angst and alienation. Since it was written in 1951, it is hard to understand.

This is a paper I wrote for my honors English class. Our theme is loss of innocence and experience, which is reflected in the books chosen for reading, one of which is J.D. Salinger's "The Catcher in the Rye". I personally enjoyed the book, but I also find Holden really annoying. This paper explores Holden's conflicting desires to grow up and become an adult and to stay innocent and remain a child.

After Phoebe spills that Holden is in a mental hospital, Jane is out of her mind with worry and fear. Will she ever tell the love of her life that he means more than just a friend to her? Future AU/Post canon AU (whatever you wanna call it), Jane x Holden one-shot.

This part of my life takes place around Christmas we're I flunked out of Pencey Prep. Normally this wouldn't be a problem considering I flunk out of a lot of schools. However my parent didn't know about my flunking and I didn't feel like confronting them about it. I'm not expected to be home until wensday for Christmas break so in order to avoid confronting my parents until then I decided to take a small vacation around the city. There were a lot of times we're I just felt really depressed so I'm order to get rid of that feelings I wrote all of my experiences in this book. The reason why I'm publishing it now if because I couldn't figure out how to publish my story until now we're I found the publish button on the top right hand corner. Any idiot could have figured that out. This must make me the lousiest idiot in the world. You could determine that once you hear my experiences yourself. As for children who are approaching this, do me a favor and don't read it. I would rather you keep your innocence a little longer rather than listen to me complain about my life which I'm now realizing is a lot more mature than I realized.

Sometimes, life really sucks rocks. Nobody's ever real to me, they'll tell my parents how stupid I am, but they won't tell me, ever. My family has taken an insane turn and that all started with my great grandfather, Holden Caulfield. The old screw up himself. People say I act just like he did and that might just be the worst insult I could receive, I am not my great grandfather. Not even close. I know that the phonies don't just exist in the movies. I figured that out when they took away my brother, I don't even know where he is. I was sent to my grandmas house and when I came back he was gone, tossed into some place that's supposed to cure him. But let's be honest, they probably just threw him behind bar, and chained him to the wall of the nut shell. Let me assure you, nobody can fix the mess Holden Caulfield created, no one except me. So here I am Nicova Holden Caulfield, names after him, created because of him, lost because as much as I try to deny it, i am Holden Caulfield's second chance but better this time, unlike him I can fix my mistakes. I will bring my family back, and I will find my brother. When I do, I will finally get to burn the red hunting hat that has followed me around since I was two. I am Nicova Holden Caulfield and I am ten times better than the original.
