Fan fiction based on Catcher in the Rye. It's basically Holden life's story however instead of starting off as a teen, Holden begins his journey as an adult working for his father.

A quick-witted boy finds refuge in his local comic book shop where he reads a comic that blurs the lines between reality and a mysterious world in the second city. As he finds himself in the story, it leads him on a journey of self-discovery and redemption, unravelling family secrets while forming an unexpected bond with the one person who may hold the key to unlocking his inner hero.

This book is inspired by my two favorite books: 'the catcher in the rye', and 'its kind of a funny' A mentally ill girl, who decided to do an exchange year, while trying to fight depression and other mental illnesses

We just finished this project in school, and I was assigned the task of writing from a female, modern day Holden's point of view. So here it is! Hope you enjoy! :D

The Catcher in the Rye is a 1951 novel by J. D. Salinger. A controversial novel originally published for adults, it has since become popular with adolescent readers for its themes of teenage angst and alienation. Since it was written in 1951, it is hard to understand.

After Phoebe spills that Holden is in a mental hospital, Jane is out of her mind with worry and fear. Will she ever tell the love of her life that he means more than just a friend to her? Future AU/Post canon AU (whatever you wanna call it), Jane x Holden one-shot.

This is a little fanfic/continuation of The Catcher in the Rye by J. D. Salinger. Don't get me wrong, I am a big fan of J.D. Salinger and I am sure he had his reasons for ending it the way he did, but the ending of The Catcher in the Rye still left me feeling like I had bit right into a bread sandwich, so I decided to make my own that I hope is more satisfying if not at least for me. Imagine if the book, the Catcher in the Rye, continued. Even for one more chapter. A conclusion to the story the protagonist could never write for himself. This is the ending where Holden gets to accept, love, and live. This was an english project I did in 2018.
