Cato and Clove are Victors from the 74th games. Eveybody happy but one person. Snow.He wanted the start crossed lovers to win. Snow is furious . Theres only one thing on his check-list. Revenge. Clove and Cato watch out because Snow is going to be more evil than ever.

In a twisted version of the 74th Hunger Games, Cato and Clove enter the arena as strangers-cold, lethal, and trained to survive alone. But as the bodies fall and the odds shift, the two deadliest tributes of District 2 find themselves dragged together by circumstance, violence, and the one rule change that ties their lives to each other's. They save each other without admitting it, bleed without complaining, and deny every flicker of fear or care. In a battlefield of knives, betrayal, and unspoken loyalty, they fight separately yet survive together-until the final moments force them to face the truth they refuse to name. Two victors. Clove Is missing. The Capitol is worried sick. Cato has lost his mind. And Snow has everyone right where he wants them. •••••••••• "Listen, I'm not playing games!" "Neither am I, Mister Hadley. Now, if you ever want to see your fiancé again, I suggest you follow the instructions in that envelope." "You don't make the rules, this isn't the Arena!" "Oh, but I do, Mister Hadley. Yet, the rules to this particular game are hardly fair. You will follow every order I give to the letter. That is, if you ever want to see your lovely wife to be." There's a long pause and I hear whimpers on the other line. "She really is beautiful..." Anger grows in the pit of my stomach. "Don't you dare touch her!" He chuckles deeply and I hear her screams on the other line. "Stop it, keep your hands off of her!" "Stop it, no!" She cries, and my heart shatters. "Okay, okay! The story of Cato and Clove before and throughout the Hunger Games. Cato: I've known who she was since I was ten. Since I was ten, I watched over her. I looked after her. I protected her even if she didn't know it was me. I love her. And I will do anything to save her because she saved me first. Clove: He's an arrogant, rich prick. I should hate him. But I don't. Instead, I feel drawn to him. I recognize him from somewhere, but I can't put my finger where I first saw him. He may be three years older than me, but I'm his biggest competition. In a world of pain and despair, two kids navigate their life while figuring out the true meaning of love and hate. Their sheer will to fight pushes them forward as they attempt to achieve one goal: survive.
