Phil is about to become a university student, get a degree and create a life by himself. But out of the blue, a figure from his past calls him 2 days before his new life begins. Does Phil want to move on? Secretly, Phil wants nothing less, but the other person is nothing but trouble. But the person is in dire need of help, and Phil is the only one who can give it to them. That person is Dan Howell. (This story contains brief mentions of violence, but apart from that is safe from other dark themes.) This is a Phan AU story. The United States of America government changed drastically in the year 2025. Murder cases were not taken lightly. There was no Guilty there was no not guilty. Very few cases where there juries but they were pleas. After you plead, your punishment would vary depending on the case. But the bright side about the plea you have to so somebody under the bus in order to be free again. With good behavior you would be in prison for 5 to 10 years with the plea. Your so-called helper in the murder? well let's just say they be getting married in their cell. Is Dan and Phil's relationship strong enough for this? Are either of the responsible for the murder? Well that's a silly question they aren't. But their prime suspects so they might as well be in handcuffs.
