In an island in the sky, a village of Mimiga find a human baby hidden in the caves, and raise him as one of them. Years later, when a mysterious threat attacks the island, the human is forced to take arms against this threat, and in the process, learns his origins.

Very loosely based on my interpretation of the video game Cave Story. In the year 1997, a giant landmass suspended over the Pacific Ocean named "The Island" appeared. The world governments sought to harness the powers that lied within The Island, sparking a bloody war among numerous global powers and The Island's inhabitants. The war ended in a stalemate; The Island's population was massacred to near extinction while The Surface's powers had lost all control over their people. Years later, an amnesiac robot named Soldier lives as a farm hand deep underground. One day, Soldier's programming drives him to abandon his family to finish his mission.
