It's almost time for senior year. Casey and Izzie are still waiting for an answer from UCLA but they tend to keep their promise: if either of them gets in, that person has to go, whether or not the other one does. So they decide to enjoy this knowing that they might apart the next one. As the year goes by, they have their ups and downs. Will they survive this time? Are they both going to make it to LA?

It's basically a continuation of Atypical from the last episode of season 2

This story features the ins and outs and ups and downs that is the relationship of Casey and Izzie from the Netflix show, Atypical.

It's been two years since the iconic pair parted ways in pursuit of their goals. When a wedding in the summer brings Casey back home to Connecticut, a chance encounter with Izzie brings reminiscence and longing. Casey Gardner had life figured out. She had a great boyfriend, a scholarship to the nicest school in the state, and a dysfunctional but, in the end of the day, supportive family. She had had her shares of ups and downs, but this up seemed to be pretty perfect. But one girl turned her world upside down. After keeping a secret about injuring herself, Casey continues to race in her senior year regionals, possibly ending her chance of getting a scholarship to UCLA.
