Ibuki Harui, previously Izuru's resident gremlin that came attached to his girlfriend Ibuki, takes the stage as the latest gremlin protagonist of the Cray's Collapse Extended Universe. Along with Kiba Yukie, a girl she shares a troubled past with, and Ryougi Satoru, a fellow fighter striving for the top like her, she begins her high school life as a student of Heiwa Academy. Following what he witnessed between Kawaguchi and Shigeru, as well as fuelled by the bet Kazuraba and Yogen made, Takanori is searching for what happened in Matsushita's and Sakigamiya's past that sent them to E Class. This eventually brings him in cahoots with a C Class student, Ginga Meguko, who apparently knows the truth behind the incident that occurred at Minanohara Middle School. To trial this system, Saionji is holding a Riding Duel tournament, and asks Mikazuchi-sensei to draft in some additional candidates via his connections. He chooses two 1st Year students from GEN Academy: Minamoto Kumi, a racing prodigy from A Class who has a decorated history of repeated wins in the F4 Championship, and Takanori, who has never driven a car in his life before. To make sure he can participate, Minamoto must teach Takanori how to drive, and the pair head up to Gunma, along with Shigaisoshi Namie, to complete a hellish training course. At the same time, Anjou Nozomi has been tasked by Mikazuchi-sensei with coaching Takanori in the Premium format as part of his preparation due to its reintroduction.
