David finds himself thinking of his beloved CBFL, (Counselor buddy for life) Gwen, differently in recent time. The cheerful man feels guilty for these feelings and think that it is unprofessional to have this attraction to her and tries to steer away from the thought of her. Spoiler alert, it's harder than he thought it would be. Gwen doesn't feel the same way for David, until one faithful day, David HAD to do something to make her fall head over heels for him and reminding her of all of the times she felt those butterflies in her stomach when David was around. I had inspiration! -- After (y/n)'s parents so rudely sent her to summer camp called "Camp Campbell", she was pissed. After she figured that her life was shitty and it couldn't possibly get worse, she met Max, a short stubborn hot tempered mess. What could possibly go wrong? -- The campers are 14-16 or 17

Over all people, over every single one of the probably thousands of people David had met in his life, he'd never expected the entire world to start spinning the other way as soon as he locked eyes with the small dark haired menace.

It had been a year since Parent's Day, and once again everyone found themselves back at Camp Campbell. This didn't mean that things weren't different. To sum it up, Nikki and Neil are step siblings now, David now runs the camp, and Max had been adopted by David after a fateful fall night. Life, in the long run, had been on their sides. Until now.

Has Dadvid and Gwenvid Second book of 'Welcome to Camp Campbell! (Max x Reader) You don't have to read the first book but it might help to make sense on a few parts. This is about when the campers come back home and attend the high school again. (your still 15) Some live in the same town as well. With David and his son Max living across the street from your place, you treat it like your safe haven from your parents and sister your brother isn't bad. You also still hang out with a few other friends from town or the ones you met from camp. David works at a nearby floral shop and Gwen works at the local café, these two still talk and hang out with each other and supporting making each other is okay on almost a daily but weekly call/visit. Especially with David having Max with him, Gwen will always be able to help if he gets out of hand.
