Two years after defeating the Overseer and sealing the Catalyst Prime, Neo-Kyoto has entered a fragile peace. Kaito and his friends are now in their final year of high school, secretly operating as the city's covert defense force. But the calm is shattered when Kaito's younger brother, Kenji (Samurai Z), whom Kaito believed to be lost forever, emerges as the new, vengeful face of a mysterious organization: The Crimson Zenith. This shadow group seeks to recover the crystal and unleash a terrifying new weapon-a massive airborne fortress. As Kenji uses stolen technology to destroy Kaito's past vehicles and mechs, Kaito must develop new gear, confront his family's buried secrets, and grapple with a dark power growing within him. The crisis culminates when the Temporal Assassin is used by The Crimson Zenith to open a time portal, drawing in Kaito's future self to settle a deadly score, forcing Kaito and his allies to embrace their true, enhanced powers to save the present and secure a future.
