I paused in the middle of applying my beauty mask but refused to grant him my attention. "I believe I am not talking to a mannequin, Jade? Or are you going to ignore me as well?" I replied with just as much force and stood to my feet. In a relationship that was written-off as a failure, sparks with intense electricity is what had always been avoided. When her father dies, Salma feels her world has been blown up by an atomic bomb. She caves into the grief and becomes a shadow of her once bubbly self. Her mother tries all she can to help her grieve 'healthily', but Salma doesn't want any of that. She just wants to shut herself in her room, reliving the memories she shared with her dad. But soon, Salma's mom forces her to go back to her school and she reluctantly goes where she's assigned to Rahim as his partner for an English Project. Rahim is the exact opposite of Salma. He's bubbly, energetic and looks as if he hasn't lost anyone in his life! This disgusts Salma and they don't hit it off. But as time goes on, Salma recoils from her shell and tries to become friendlier and pursue student politics. However, she's stunned when Rahim betrays her and her fear of losing the person she loves becomes a reality.

I know all those things she said were just a bunch of lies. I don't have proof, but I know they're all lies. I saw her from where I sat. She was with her friends. They were laughing whilst looking at my direction. They were laughing at me. I know our kind of love is not acceptable by society. Talk more of her. I can't help but ask myself.
