Pain is a reaction of the brain to some injury upon it's host. It's not just physical pain, as time has proven again and again. There is emotional pain, which can hurt worst then physical pain. After a Mission gone wrong that causes Lucy Heartfilia a celestial Spirit mage to not have access to summon or call for her spirits she is called names and betrayed by her family and the one she loves she is kicked out of Fairy Tail a wizard guild, the reasoning is that as a Celestial Spirit mage that is unable to call upon her spirits she is rendered 'powerless' and so is forced out of the guild by their master Makarov. After learning of a shocking truth she trains in order to get her revenge on her 'nakama' that hurt her and betrayed her. On her way to get her revenge she meets with the twin dragon slayers of Saber tooth and joins with them and unconsciously falls in love with one of them. She joins Sabertooth and makes new friends and family that did not leave her.
