Lucy Chen is a 27 year old 9-1-1- dispatcher. Lucy is one of four kids, two older siblings Lilia and Anthony and one younger sister Lola. And funnily enough she is the only single one. All her other siblings are either married, engaged or dating. Her mother Vanessa Chen makes sure Lucy doesn't forget her non existence love life. Lucy knows her mother means well, but it sometimes bugs her. Lucy loves her job, and she usually drowns herself to work to not return to the empty apartment. Another reminder that she is single. It's not that she would mind being single, but she can't help wondering if someday it will be her turn to meet someone either. So after one extremely hard day at work when she is back to her lonely apartment she decides "fuck it" and sings up to this blind date thing. How bad could it be? But what happens when a tall, blonde man shows up and Lucy finds herself falling for the guy she has known less than a month? And what if the guy has a secret he has kept from her? Tim Bradford is 31 and a cop. He loves his job, but there is one thing he loves even more, his 3 year old daughter Esmay. He is a single father and has always been, and even though he gets a lot of support from his best friends Nyla and Angela and his sister Genny, he can't feel but wonder if one day he could find someone to stay, to be a mother for Esmay. Lucy Chen is undercover. She's been undercover for weeks now. Tim Bradford, her boyfriend is starting to miss her a lot. He wants this op to ends. One day into the op there's a man who wants Lucy to smuggle some drugs with him in his car. So Lucy drives and suddenly another car starts shooting at them. Lucy has to turn and it becomes a car chase. A police car is parked in the way trying to stop all the chaos. Either Lucy stops, the cops and her gets shot. She rams into the police car, she'll possibly die and the cops too or she has to swerve into the ocean beside her. And that's what she does... ITS BASED OF THE SHOW THE ROOKIE SO NONE OF THE CHARACTERS ARE MINE.
