Tim and Lucy have been coworkers for 20 years. They have always been slightly flirty, but nothing that raises an eyebrow (like Luke and Lorelai from Gilmore Girls) Lucy has a 14-year-old daughter with her husband, Chris. Their daughter's name is Madeline, but they call her Maddie. Lucy has been doing UC work for the past 4 years, but recently went back to patrol so she can spend more time with her family. (Like what Nyla did in season 2)

Lucy Chen is a 27 year old 9-1-1- dispatcher. Lucy is one of four kids, two older siblings Lilia and Anthony and one younger sister Lola. And funnily enough she is the only single one. All her other siblings are either married, engaged or dating. Her mother Vanessa Chen makes sure Lucy doesn't forget her non existence love life. Lucy knows her mother means well, but it sometimes bugs her. Lucy loves her job, and she usually drowns herself to work to not return to the empty apartment. Another reminder that she is single. It's not that she would mind being single, but she can't help wondering if someday it will be her turn to meet someone either. So after one extremely hard day at work when she is back to her lonely apartment she decides "fuck it" and sings up to this blind date thing. How bad could it be? But what happens when a tall, blonde man shows up and Lucy finds herself falling for the guy she has known less than a month? And what if the guy has a secret he has kept from her? Tim Bradford is 31 and a cop. He loves his job, but there is one thing he loves even more, his 3 year old daughter Esmay. He is a single father and has always been, and even though he gets a lot of support from his best friends Nyla and Angela and his sister Genny, he can't feel but wonder if one day he could find someone to stay, to be a mother for Esmay. His best friends love being nose deep in his love life and one night he hears that they have singed him up to this blind date thing, and he has a date in an hour. He decides not to mention his daughter, this probably won't be anything and he doesn't want to spook the girl off on the first date. But what will happen when he finds himself falling for the dark haired girl that still doesn't know he is a father? And what will happen when Lucy does find out? Will she walk away from the only man that has ever made her feel like this, or will she become the mother Tim's daughter never had?

This is going to be a long story about Chenford. Tim and Lucy have been dating for a year. Tim and Lucy live together. Tamara lives with them. Kojo will be in this story. Lucy is a Sargeant. Tim is a Sargeant. Angela is a detective. Nyla is a detective. Grey is the lieutenant. Nolan is a training officer. Celina is a P2. The rest of the characters are the same. There also will be other characters other than Chenford in this story.

This story is about if Tim Bradford and Lucy Chen were neighbours throughout childhood, but Lucy moved away when she was 16 to Florida, before coming back to Los Angeles to pursue her dream of being a Police Officer with the LAPD at 22. On her first day, she thought she recognised someone, but couldn't piece it together. Until she learned his name when introduced to, Tim Bradford. Lucy took her little sister, Tamara Chen, into her full time care when she was 22. Credits to the writers, directors and everybody like that who produce 'The Rookie' to make this story.
