The rivalry between band and orchestra cannot be solved by the "symphony orchestra" in high school. Many high schools simply don't have the funding or the dedication of enough students to have one. Although they antagonize her ridiculously to try to hide their jealousy, all four are head-over-heels in love with her, one more so than the other three.
