"韓国の3歳と4歳の子どもたちがテレビやスマートフォンの画面を見る時間は、WHO＝世界保健機関が推奨する制限時間の3倍以上であることがわかりました。 韓国言論振興財団が6日、発表した報告書によりますと、去年、韓国の3歳と4歳の子どもがテレビやスマホ、タブレット端末、パソコンなど、画面付きの端末で動画などを視聴した時間は、1日平均184.4分でした。 WHOは、3歳と4歳児が画面を見る時間を1時間以内に制限することを推奨していて、韓国ではその3倍以上、見ていることになります。 5歳から9歳の子どもを含めた場合、１日の視聴時間は平均185.9分で、3～4歳の子どもの平均とほぼ変わらないことから、韓国の子どもは年齢の低いうちから画面の視聴時間が長いことがわかりました。 3歳から9歳の子どもがどんな端末で動画を見ているかを調べたところ、スマートフォンが77.6％、ネット接続ができるテレビが65.6％、タブレット端末が57.1％、パソコンが24.7％、一般のテレビが17.1％などの順となっていました。 保護者が子どもにスマホを使わせる理由は、「子どものストレス解消・気分転換」が50.8％で最も多く、次いで「子どもが言うことを聞いたときのご褒美」が38.5％でした。 「保護者がほかのことをしている間、子どもに邪魔をされないため」という回答は18.3％でした。 今回の調査は、全国の3歳から9歳の子どもの保護者2675人を対象に、去年10月26日から12月8日の間に実施されました。信頼水準は95％、標準誤差は±2ポイントです。"

on Saturday, April 30, 2022, I used my cell phone a lot, significantly a lot. I still do but the amount of interaction I had with it that day struck me as extreme so I wrote down all the times I used the cell and the apps I used and wound up with 2 pages of words.
