"my own little notting hill." "in manhattan." Annalise Lewis, a common girl who lives in Manhattan and loves old films and whose favourite film is "Notting Hill" is sure of a few things: 1) Julia Roberts is a brilliant actress, 2) William Thacker has her head over hills, and 3) she dreams of a love that only happens in movies. Manhattan is an interesting place to be, to live in, life is pretty and moves fast, in her head is the perfect place for a hopeless romantic. Not far from her, lives a pretty boy with French ancestry, with dreamy eyes and incredible talent. When they met in the most mundane and yet cinematic way, they're left wondering how could the world be so small and how could that single and tiny inconvenience could've changed their lives. A short story that summarises two people whose lives intertwined in a clichéd, cinematic and novelistic way; and the way their relationship evolved. A story of love and about love, written by a dramatic version of love itself. • • • • • highest rankings: #2 in central park #3 in hugh grant #3 in notting hill #4 in julia roberts

In the midst of surviving day-to-day life in the famous "City That Never Sleeps", southern-born Payton Cooper becomes a little too attached to an overconfident, rich girl known as Kate Bishop. Unknown to Payton herself, Kate is a need, like oxygen is for any life form. As they go through trials and tribulations, their newly-forged 'alliance' turns into something Payton will never be able to shake -even if it meant disowning her family because of their differences. Pre-Hawkeye (Kate Bishop x fem!OC) Book 1 in the Payton Cooper series

When you live a life of silence, even the smallest whisper makes the loudest sound. Not all mischievous whispers, however, are meant to be heard. The fey of Greenhaven have but one rule, and the unlikely pair who knowingly break that rule may very well serve as the means to an end. Completed short story.

    - A man with no memory... - A woman with strange dreams... - An orphan girl, all alone in the world... Three lost souls, brought together by fate, journey across the Christmas landscape of New York City, seeking answers to an unfolding and ever-growing mystery, watched over by Sister Regina, the head of the Convent where they are staying. As they begin to find answers, as they begin to discover more and more clues to Lauren and Brinn’s identities, something stalks them - an ancient and deadly Evil from before the dawn of recorded history. A clock is ticking now, and they must solve the mystery of their origins and who they are soon. For it is not just they and everyone around them who are threatened; the entire fate of humanity and of two worlds is in peril, unless they find answers, and find answers soon. What you hold in your hands is the beginning of an apocalyptic fantasy. It is also a complete story with a definite ending, in 4 Books, or Seasons: Exile, Return, Rebellion and Armageddon. Each Book is divided up into multiple Episodes. Book One – Exile, is being released in 6 episodes, with Hearth : Episode 1 in this installment. More to follow in the future. We have been told by readers that New York is like another character in the book, and I don’t think it’s going too far to say that the first Season of Hearth is, in part, a love letter to my old hometown and the place of my birth. So I invite the Reader to come in, stay awhile and get comfortable. If you like what you see, maybe you’re willing to go a little further. Let the story, and those who struggle against impossible odds, draw you in and carry you away - to Hearth!

A young (both 17) boy and girl bond over a situation that could have had an unfortunate ending. Note: There was a six page (google docs) limit for this short, so I had to get creative with my writing. You'll notice that Dylan's portion of the piece is written entirely in present-tense, whilst Olivia's is in past-tense. This gives a necessary separation of voices in the story, as there wasn't much space (or time, for that matter!) to create deep character descriptions and personalities.

Heather and Allen, a deeply in love couple, build their lives around the magical charm of Central Park, New York. However, their idyllic world is shattered when Allen tragically loses his life in a car accident, leaving Heather devastated and their baby girl Elle fatherless. Struggling to find solace, Heather's grief becomes an unyielding burden as she faces the daunting task of raising Elle alone. Meanwhile, pained by the tears of his beloved, Allen's soul resides in the lower echelons of Heaven. One day, in a fateful encounter, Allen's soul manages to infuriate Satan himself. What will be the consequences of this encounter on Heather and little Elle's lives? ............................................................................... Allen's handsome face suddenly contorted in pain. Wincing, he opened his eyes to see Satan observing him with interest. "She still grieves for you! See the pain your Almighty God has granted you and your mate. Yet, they call me cruel", cackled the Devil with pleasure. Allen's face hardened with disapproval. "My God has willed it, so shall it be. You have no business questioning Him." An enraged Satan drew back his cane, prepared to strike the pesky soul to dust. #2 centralpark 30.11.23 #6 November 30.11.23 #91 autumn 30.11.23 #93 fall 30.11.23
