The Ashwell Challenge is a collection of short stories written on shared prompts from fantasy to science fiction, contemporary to humor. We're D & T Ashwell, a couple doing a writing challenge together in which we alternatingly propose a prompt and each have two weeks to write our own short story before reconvening to share. Story prompts can range from a thought experiment to piece of news we have read to a picture that sparked an idea. Story genres are unrestricted. The only condition: each story must be less than 25 standard typed pages. *This is a work in progress. The goal is to achieve 25 short stories apiece before we move on to our next writing challenge!*

Being born disabled makes life be more difficult and challenging. Since I open my eyes into the this world it's been a roller coaster. So many challenges, so many problems, suffering inside because I want to be normal. But not all is bad, they are times that you can achieve a lot and also miracles can happen you just have to have faith.

Cerebral Palsy and Socialization - two different words interconnected to each other aesthetically. Cerebral refers to the brain and palsy refers to poor muscle control or weakness. Cerebral Palsy is a non-progressive condition as the brain damage is a one-off occurrence and though the brain cells affected will not be repaired other brain cells will continue to develop and work. Though there is no specific or stable treatment has been developed so far, Chris has overcome all the obstacles of cerebral palsy with his sheer will and hard work. He and his friend Lisa wrote a book named "They Said We Couldn't" describe the inspiring journey of his fight with cerebral palsy.

I was diagnosed with cerebral palsy a condition where I can't coordinate and balance as a normal body should. This book is about my journey with my condition and Jesus by myside. My life, struggle, happiness, sadness, crush, love life and what Jesus taught me in my life . Inventing the first, true, artificial intelligence was never part of Pons' plan. A cerebral, morally complex book, with (hopefully) realistic characters that try their best in the world granted to them. Incorporating light engineering concepts, heavy thinking, and strategy into combat and day-to-day interactions, this is a book I couldn't find on the shelves, so I'm trying to make it. As we move along, we follow the retired Lieutenant Colonel Cohen, a deep-thinking and surprisingly rambunctious engineer called back onto the field for a new chance. Given a new team, a spacecraft, and an outdated exoskeleton, Cohen's been given a new role in life - that of a state-sanctioned bounty hunter with little ties to any superiors, a valued expendable. And many problems await. The story is still in development, but feel free to read it as I work! It's relatively clean, with some cursing. However, there will be blood, violence, and gore, so watch out for that. I should be updating this weekly, probably during the weekends, but if I don't, feel free to annoy me in the comment section until I upload.
