High School Musical 2 is a movie that came out in 2007 and has been loved ever since. But a mystery still stands, why did Ryan and Chad switch clothes after the 'I don't dance' musical number? Well I doubt this fanfic will properly answer that but I wanted to write something with Ryan after becoming obsessed with the franchise again. Enjoy :)

It's summer break and the kids of East High are out for some fun in the sun. Unfortunately, they are all broke except Sam and Cat who try to help their friends get jobs in order to be able to afford to enjoy themselves. Troy thinks his problem is solved when he gets a job at Sharpay's family resort, but doesn't realise she has an ulterior motive for hiring him. Luckily, some of his fellow Wildcats have jobs there too. While Sam and Cat become the Lava Springs babysitters, Chad struggles to do his job and hang out with Cat at the same time until Evan, Cat's ex boyfriend from Los Angeles unexpectedly shows up.

A/N: This is the sequel to my Chyan story 'Me and My Play Maker'. This takes place during the second movie, except in this book they are already dating. It'll obviously differ pretty largely from the plot of the movie, but not just in regards to Chyan. It had only been a month and a half since Ryan and Chad went on their date and officially became a couple. Summer had just began and the two expected to see each other only one or two times a week while Ryan was at his family's resort for the summer, but that was thrown off when Sharpay made yet another scheme to win over Troy's affection, and Ryan saw an opportunity to spend more time with his boyfriend. Things get messy when Ryan realizes what is best for his relationship and his new friends may sometimes mean going against his dear sister. Though the two boys are head over heels for each other, they still have a lot to learn about the other and the boundaries of their relationship. Unfortunately for them, it won't always be in a pleasant way. Or the short version: what happens when you're dating the twin brother of the girl who has had a massive crush on your best friend for years.
