Every year, the tributes fight in the Hunger Games arenas. Every year, the citizens of Panem and the Capital watch. And every year, the mentors have to watch from the mentors room, famed Victors themselves, and almost entirely unable to bring home another Victor. Nobody's ever said that a Victor's life got easier after the games ended.

In the ruins of North America, the nation of Panem rules through fear, and the Hunger Games demand their sacrifice. In District 11, just survival means everything to Thalia Barnette. Its the 71st Hunger Games and the districts are getting restless. Effie has heard conversations around the Capitol that there might be a rebellion in the near future, are these hunger games the spark the districts need? The rebellion isn't the only thing that has sparks beginning fly, Effie might be falling for district 12's Haymitch Abernathy. What if the 73th Hunger Games was the one Katniss and Peeta participated? What if it was Rue, the little mockingjay, the protagonist of the 74th Hunger Games? What if hope was shining way before the 75th Hunger Games? Will Rue's sing bring the Rebellion together? Is this child able to change the games, even more than Katniss and Peeta did?

Amaryllis Caspian, seventeen year old from district 11, whilst many people from her district would be working in the orchards and the fields, Amaryllis entertains. It was no secret that music was well recieved in district 11 with many people singing at work and at home, but Amaryllis hosted performances in the main district centre. Amaryllis occasionally helped out with dairy cattle on one of the small farms. She never had much fear of being reaped for the hunger games... But what she didn't know was she would be picked for the 55th hunger games... Haymitch Abernathy was still getting over the loss of his family and his girlfriend and trying to get used to mentoring tributes when the 55th hunger games commence.
