Lorsque les signes d'effondrement deviennent impossibles à ignorer - pénuries, pannes électriques, tensions sociales - neuf personnes décident de prendre une décision radicale : quitter le monde moderne avant qu'il ne s'écroule complètement. Quatre hommes et cinq femmes, aux compétences et personnalités très différentes, se retrouvent dans un chalet isolé, loin des villes et des réseaux. Certains sont convaincus depuis longtemps que ce moment arriverait. D'autres ont accepté de venir par peur... ou par loyauté envers ceux qu'ils aiment. Ensemble, ils se préparent à vivre hors réseau, apprenant à produire leur propre nourriture, sécuriser leur territoire et survivre sans dépendre de la technologie. Mais le véritable défi ne vient pas seulement du monde extérieur qui se dégrade... il vient aussi des tensions, des secrets et des choix difficiles à l'intérieur du groupe. Au fil des jours, la question n'est plus seulement comment survivre, mais qui ils sont prêts à devenir pour y parvenir. Entre solidarité et méfiance, espoir et sacrifice, chacun devra décider jusqu'où il est prêt à aller pour protéger ce qui compte encore. Car parfois, survivre signifie abandonner une partie de soi... Et parfois, c'est le seul moyen de rester humain.
