He winced trying to sit up properly, but I put a hand on his thigh to stop him. His usually beautiful brown orbs looked bloodshot as they finally landed on me. "Baby..." His voice was raspy and his breathing was heavy. He closed his eyes and a pained expression crossed his face. "You...need to get out of here.." I shook my head. "I can't leave you." He scoffed. "Yes you can and you will." I sighed. "Why?" He coughed. "Because he's coming back to kill me." I shook my head, tears threatening to fall again. "No he-" "Once I'm dead, what do you think he'll do to you?"
