A To Kill a Mockingbird short story. Calpurnia brings Jem and Scout to her church where Scout makes friends with a black girl. They instantly connect and Scout realizes this girl is just like her. But when people in her community start to realize that Scout is friends with a black girl, trouble erupts.

Jennie was dead but alive. Sick but healthy. Hurt but healed. She enjoyed her life at the Afterlife. It was peaceful and settling. It's a place to rest. That is, until two people loses their lives in the Afterlife Academy, everyone panics. While they were relaxing and taking everything easy, the villains were engaging on their plan. The environment changes, the tension in the air became clearer, and then they all realized; they are about to die a second time.
