When Shizan moves to Edinburgh with his family, he expects a fresh beginning-new university, new friends, and a life far away from everything he knows. Instead, his new life turns into a nightmare. A student dies by suicide after being allegedly bullied, and somehow, all the evidence points toward Shizan. His reputation is destroyed overnight, and the people around him begin questioning whether the cheerful, chaotic boy they knew was hiding a darker side. But Shizan knows one thing: He didn't do it. What he doesn't know is that the person responsible is someone he trusts completely-his own best friend, who has carefully constructed the entire frame-up. Then comes Yezda. She isn't immediately convinced by Shizan's innocence, but neither is she willing to judge him based on rumours. As she gets closer to him, she begins noticing inconsistencies in the case-and the more she investigates, the more dangerous the truth becomes.
