Euphie, a young princess is caught within the crosswinds between two factions: the magically attuned Vashera, and the technologically advanced Aurylian Empire. Saved from a foiled assassination attempt, she travels with Van, a Vashera who teaches Euphie the way of the world outside of her sheltered sphere. As one who can end the ongoing conflict between the Empire and the Vashera, Euphie and Van go on a journey in which they find their purpose in this cruel world that makes finding meaning an insurmountable task.
