For each prompt it is a free write but try to keep it under 30 minutes of writing time. An unsuccessful jockey trying make ends meet in the ruthlessly competitive world of horse racing, Chase Woods resorts to rigging other's races so that he wins. One day he's under hooves. The next he's in the running to ride the favorite in the world renowned Dubai World Cup. Does he have what it takes to win without cheating? Can he make a run around the world-famous oval without hurting anyone, including himself? In the end, is character or success more important in the ever-changing and dangerous world of racing?

Andrew isn't your typical kid. And his dad isn't a typical dad. But, like normal people, they do have to live with what life gives them... hopefully they can keep all their sharp bits retracted. This is a VERY short read. I wrote this to help me build a character for the novel I am working on, but I thought I would post it here for people to comment on... or not if you don't want to. If you're looking for a full on short story experience, you should probably move on-- this is, at best, flash fiction.
