In fall 1992, twenty four year old Iolanthe Quintana West and her fifty two year old mother Liberty, both of who own the weaponry store they live within on the outskirts of Jasper, Nevada, hear a crash outside and come out to find a newborn female robot in a escape pod. Naming her Alitalia November West, they take in the newborn female robot after she takes on the appearance of a human. Eighteen years later, they finally tell her the truth. Stunned by the fact she is a robot in origin, Alitalia, now a slim bodied beauty, goes off to find more of her kind and later joins the young and skilled Auto Bot soldier Cliff Jumper in a battle against some Con soldiers at a energy mine in the countryside with the metallic spear and bow her mother and grandmother gave to her, saving his life in the process.

After a long day of selling charcoal to the residents of the nearby town, eighteen year old triplets Taki, Nezuko and Takeo Kamado get home in time to see their healthy forty six year old parents Tanjuro and Kie and three younger siblings, thirteen year old girl Hanako, eleven year old boy Shigeru and ten year old boy Rokuta, all about to be killed by the demon king. However, Taki is soon able to force him to retreat into the night with the help of the sweet natured eighteen year old Demon Slayer Corps member Kyojuro Rengoku, who stays with the family for two weeks afterwards to help them recover. This results in Kyojuro and Taki falling in love and she takes her family's sword and goes with him when he leaves the mountain per the request of the organization's leader. After three days of traveling on foot, they bump into his mother Ruka, who later points out Taki's kindness and lovely appearance will make her a admired person within the Rengoku family's hometown in spite of her being from a poor family.

While away from their small home on the top of Mount Kumotori in late August 1899, healthy charcoal merchant Tanjuro Kamado, his wife Kie, who is four and a half months expectant with healthy quintuplets, and their one year and one month old daughter Tsunami see newly widowed teen mother Kotoha Hashibira running towards a cliff with her infant son Inosuke in her arms from the sadistic and cold natured demon Doma. Both Kotoha and Kie are knocked out and taken prisoner by Doma a minute and a half after the freshly widowed teen mother tosses Inosuke from the cliff edge into the river below to save his life. After seeing this happen and yelling out his wife's name, Tanjuro flees with Tsunami asleep in his arms. Over thirteen years later, in late December 1912, Tsunami, who is now fourteen, and Tanjuro get home after a long day of selling charcoal to the residents of the nearby town and are immediately ambushed by Doma, who knocks out Tanjuro and captures him alive seconds after he chooses to stay behind to take the sadistic and cold natured demon on in a battle with his hatchet so Tsunami can escape and make her way to the Demon Slayer Corps headquarters with their family's sword in her possession. The morning after Tsunami makes it to the organization's headquarters alive, its leader recruits her as a demon slayer with the aim for her to become a pillar after telling her the truth. After several months of regularly taking out demons at night, Tsunami becomes the sun pillar two and a half hours after winning a nightlong battle against a stronger demon and returning to the Demon Slayer Corps headquarters. That night, she and the flower pillar Kanae Kocho are sent with a wooden cart to the temple almost a hour after Doma leaves for the night and get the rest of the family and Kotoha out of the temple, sneaking into it through a plastic window.

In mid July 1898, healthy thirty two year old charcoal merchant Tanjuro Kamado receives a surprise when he sees his wife Kie, who is the same age as him, had delivered six babies. Although surprised, they quickly welcome the six babies into the world and name them Rana, Nezuko, Takeo, Hanako, Shigeru and Rokuta. As the sextuplets get older, the couple begin to teach them to fight as well as tell them about the origins of the family heirloom and other things. After over fourteen years, the sextuplets battle the demon king in late December 1912 to defend their parents from him when he attacks with intentions of killing them and soon succeed in forcing him to retreat after being badly injured by him. The next morning, the sextuplets and their parents use their cart to bring their belongings and the family heirloom with them when they leave their mountain home behind. After a hour of walking, Rana notices they are being followed from behind by the Sound pillar Tengen Uzui, who shortly after uses his speed to quickly get the family and their belongings to his estate in their wooden cart half a minute after Nezuko tells him they need a place where they can recover from their injuries. There, he introduces his three wives Makio, Suma & Hinatsuru to the family of eight after the trio tackle him. After five days of her staying at his estate while she and her siblings heal from their injuries, Tengen brings Rana with him to the Demon Slayer Corps headquarters, where she meets his fellow pillars and their master Kagaya Ubuyashiki, who commends her for the bravery she, both of her sisters and all three of her brothers displayed.

During a fierce battle against him, female warrior Kanae Kocho is saved from the powerful upper moon demon Doma by healthy forty one year old charcoal merchant Tanjuro Kamado. This leads to a fiery and intense battle that ends in Tanjuro forcing Doma to retreat into the night after fifteen minutes. Grateful for this, Kanae goes with the healthy charcoal merchant to his small home on Mount Kumotori. There, she meets his wife Kie, who is also forty one, and their six children, seventeen year old girl Jacinth, twelve year old triplets Nezuko, Takeo and Hanako, ten year old boy Shigeru and nine year old boy Rokuta. While selling charcoal to the residents of the closest town with her sometime after this, Tanjuro spots Kanae's apparent admirer Sanemi Shinazugawa and his younger brother Genya speaking with its innkeeper Nori Ohara.

Two years and a month after the death of her abusive husband Kyogo, widowed woman Shizu Shinazugawa bumps into healthy charcoal merchant Tanjuro Kamado, his wife Kie and their six children, thirteen year old girl Sumiko, eight year old triplets Nezuko, Takeo and Hanako, six year old boy Shigeru and five year old boy Rokuta, at sunset and they go with the widower to her home, where she introduces them to her seven children Sanemi, Genya, Sumi, Teiko, Hiroshi, Shuya and Koto. While asleep in the home late that night, both families wake up after sensing the demon king's presence outside the house's doors. Tanjuro and Kie choose to stay behind to fend the demon king off for as long as possible while Genya, Hanako, Hiroshi, Koto, Nezuko, Shizu, Sanemi, Sumiko, Shuya, Sumi, Shigeru, Takeo, Teiko and Rokuta escape unharmed. This results in the couple being captured, taken to a building and imprisoned in it the fourteen people later being found and brought right to the Demon Slayer Corps headquarters for their safety by some demon slayers. Four years later, Nezuko, Takeo and Hanako, all three of who are now twelve, Shigeru, who is now ten, Rokuta, who is now nine, Sumi and Teiko have recently become demon slayers and Shizu, Hiroshi, Shuya and Koto have all recently become medics while Sumiko and Sanemi, the two of whom are now seventeen, are now powerful Demon Slayer Corps members alongside his combat partner and lifelong friend Masachika Kumeno, having both been recruited by the organization's leader two whole years after being brought to its headquarters alongside Genya, Hanako, Hiroshi, Koto, Nezuko, Shuya, Shizu, Shigeru, Sumi, Takeo, Teiko and Rokuta.

Three days after this, Anthea tells one of her saviors the reason why she chose to go live with Nolan and Emery instead of Marcel's family.

On a decent day in mid winter, kind hearted single mother Shizu Shinazugawa, who had become a widower two years earlier, and her seven children, thirteen year old boy Sanemi, eight year old boy Genya, six year old girl Sumi, five year old girl Teiko, four year old boy Hiroshi, three year old boy Shuya and two year old boy Koto, receive a surprise visit outside their house from the demon king a hour and a half before sunrise. The demon king then captures Shizu and teleports away with her, later imprisoning her in an abandoned temple acting as a gateway to his stronghold. Terrified to have witnessed the capture of their mother, the Shinazugawa siblings leave their home with their belongings tightly secured in bags and a wooden cart. Five years later, Sanemi, now eighteen, and his girlfriend of eleven and a half months Kanae Kocho, who is also eighteen and had been forced to retire from being a demon slayer a year earlier, and mission partner Masachika Kumeno, who is older than Sanemi, are sent alongside Genya, who is now thirteen, to the mountaintop home of the Kamado family to defend them from the demon king and get there in time to stop him from killing seven of its eight members, Tanjuro, his wife Kie and five of their six children, thirteen year old triplets Nezuko, Takeo and Hanako, eleven year old boy Shigeru and ten year old boy Rokuta, while the couple's oldest child Sumiko, who is eighteen just like Sanemi and Kanae are, is away from home. This leads to Genya and Hanako right away falling in love with one another. After getting home the following morning, Sumiko opens the front doors to discover the four people outside the Kamado family's home with her parents and younger siblings trying to help them move past what had happened the night before and quickly learns of the occurrence from them. Deeply grateful to them for this, she and her siblings agree to go with Sanemi, Masachika, Kanae and Genya.
