Many people know the classic tale "A Christmas Carol", where the evil skinflint Ebenezer Scrooge is haunted by ghosts that manage to turn him into a kind and generous person. But what if the boss of all ghosts had targeted a different miser? One who was just a little more stubborn...? A little parody of Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol", starring Mr Rikkard Ambrose from Robert Thier's "Storm and Silence" series.

Well, hello you. Yes, I'm talking to you. You who stumbled upon this seemingly familiar title. You who thinks you know the tale of Ebener Scrooge and his otherworldly visitors. You who thinks that Ebener Scrooge is nothing but a shriveled sexagenarian. You who thinks that Belle, Ebener's old sweetheeart turned matron, is nothing but an item more on the list of things Ebener lost because of his selfishness. Let me tell you that you are sorely mistaken. You got it all wrong. I can't blame you for that, this story hasn't been told before. Buckle up, it's time to remedy your ignorance: our three Ghosts have set their eyes on a younger Ebener. ~~~~ ✨1 New chapter every Saturday ✨ Start: 15/11/2025

A lot of people know about Charles Dickens, but not many know about Mary Hogarth, the younger sister of Catherine Dickens (who is Charles Dicken's wife). Charles got extremely close to Mary when she moved in to their house at age 16 to learn from her sister on how to become a proper lady. Maybe a bit too close, for when she died at age 17 of an unknown illness, he requested to be buried next to her, and later divorced his wife Catherine! This is what I imagine it could of have been like if Charles did not treat Catherine very well (he probably actually didn't but my version is what did not happen, but could've). Charles took a fancy to Mary and despite being Charles being in love with her, she got even more close with her sister Catherine. Catherine's mood did change quite a lot but that was only due to her having 10 babies and being physically and mentally exhausted. This version is my version, and all characters rights go to them, theirselves, but these events did not actually happen but could of have if they did, so disclaimer this is not 100% factually accurate despite some things being true.

A year after his redemption, Ebenezer Scrooge has become an exemplary philanthropist, a mentor to the young, an advisor to Parliament, and a symbol of a new moral conscience in 1844 England. But the spirit of Christmas-ancient, sacred, and wild-cannot be sustained by reforms and good intentions alone. On the night before Christmas Eve, a mythical figure appears: Herne the Hunter, guardian of winter. He draws Scrooge, along with his nephew Fred, the young Tiny Tim, and a mysterious boy named Oliver Twist, into the Realm of Father Christmas, where the spirit of Christmas lies dying. Scrooge has been chosen as his successor-but change alone is not enough. To take on the mantle, he must face four trials that confront him with his past, his power, his pride, and his ability to act when no one is watching. Inspired by British Yuletide mythology, winter folklore, and the literary universe of Charles Dickens, this epic sequel transforms Scrooge's journey into a universal rite of passage. With deep emotional resonance and the mythic structure of the Hero's Journey, A Christmas Carol II is a story about justice, compassion, legacy... and the humble art of disappearing without ceasing to love.

The story traces the life of David Copperfield from childhood to maturity. David was born in Blunderstone, Suffolk, near Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, England, in 1820, six months after the death of his father. David spends his early years with his mother and their housekeeper, Peggotty. When he is seven years old, his mother re-marries Edward Murdstone. David is given good reason to dislike his stepfather and has similar feelings for Murdstone's sister Jane, who moves into the house soon afterwards. Murdstone thrashes David for falling behind in his studies. Following one of these thrashings, David bites him and soon afterwards is sent away to a boarding school, Salem House, with a ruthless headmaster, Mr. Creakle. There he befriends James Steerforth and Tommy Traddles.

Our Mutual Friend, written in the years 1864-65, is the last novel completed by Charles Dickens and is one of his most sophisticated works, combining savage satire with social analysis. It centres on, in the words of critic J. Hillis Miller, quoting from the character Bella Wilfer in the book, "money, money, money, and what money can make of life." I do not own this book
