Many people know the classic tale "A Christmas Carol", where the evil skinflint Ebenezer Scrooge is haunted by ghosts that manage to turn him into a kind and generous person. But what if the boss of all ghosts had targeted a different miser? One who was just a little more stubborn...? A little parody of Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol", starring Mr Rikkard Ambrose from Robert Thier's "Storm and Silence" series.

A year after his redemption, Ebenezer Scrooge has become an exemplary philanthropist, a mentor to the young, an advisor to Parliament, and a symbol of a new moral conscience in 1844 England. But the spirit of Christmas-ancient, sacred, and wild-cannot be sustained by reforms and good intentions alone. On the night before Christmas Eve, a mythical figure appears: Herne the Hunter, guardian of winter. He draws Scrooge, along with his nephew Fred, the young Tiny Tim, and a mysterious boy named Oliver Twist, into the Realm of Father Christmas, where the spirit of Christmas lies dying. Scrooge has been chosen as his successor-but change alone is not enough. To take on the mantle, he must face four trials that confront him with his past, his power, his pride, and his ability to act when no one is watching. Inspired by British Yuletide mythology, winter folklore, and the literary universe of Charles Dickens, this epic sequel transforms Scrooge's journey into a universal rite of passage. With deep emotional resonance and the mythic structure of the Hero's Journey, A Christmas Carol II is a story about justice, compassion, legacy... and the humble art of disappearing without ceasing to love.

However, as they say, peace doesn't last, and it didn't. 'Liberty, equality, fraternity, or death; - the last, much the easiest to bestow, O Guillotine!' After eighteen years as a political prisoner in the Bastille, the ageing Doctor Manette is finally released and reunited with his daughter in England. There, the lives of two very different men, Charles Darnay, an exiled French aristocrat, and Sydney Carton, a disreputable but brilliant English lawyer, become enmeshed through their love for Lucie Manette. From the tranquil roads of London, they are drawn against their will to the vengeful, bloodstained streets of Paris at the height of the Reign of Terror, and they soon fall under the lethal shadow of La Guillotine. This book was written by Charles Dickens, not by me I just want people to enjoy this. If you guys want me to analyze this book just tell me and I will gladly do it :) (This is the version by Penguin Classics

A Christmas Carol is the most famous, heart-warming and chilling festive story of them all. In these pages we meet Ebenezer Scrooge, whose name is synonymous with greed and parsimony: 'Every idiot who goes about with "Merry Christmas" on his lips, should be boiled with his own pudding, and buried with a stake of holly through his heart'. This attitude is soon challenged when the ghost of his old partner, Jacob Marley, returns from the grave to haunt him on Christmas Eve. Scrooge is then visited in turn by three spirits of Christmas Past, Present and Future, each one revealing the error of his ways and gradually melting the frozen heart of this old miser, leading him towards his redemption. On the journey we take with Scrooge we encounter a rich array of Dickensian characters including the poor Cratchit family with the ailing Tiny Tim and the generous and jolly Fezziwig. When Charles Dickens wrote A Christmas Carol in 1843 he fashioned an enduring gift to the world, capturing the essence of the love, kindness and generosity of the Christmas season. It is a timeless classic and the story's uplifting magic remains as potent today as when it was first published.

Great Expectations is written in the genre of "bildungsroman" or the style of book that follows the story of a man or woman in their quest for maturity, usually starting from childhood and ending in the main character's eventual adulthood. Great Expectations is the story of the orphan Pip, writing his life from his early days of childhood until adulthood and trying to be a gentleman along the way. The story can also be considered semi-autobiographical of Dickens, like much of his work, drawing on his experiences of life and people.

Little Dorrit is a novel by Charles Dickens, originally published in serial form between 1855 and 1857. It satirises the shortcomings of both government and society, including the institution of debtors' prisons, where debtors were imprisoned, unable to work, until they repaid their debts.
