Who did you kill Sammy?" I whispered, but I had a feeling I already knew who. "Dad." He whispered.

October 18th, 1914 Dearest Cas, As you are reading this, I am off fighting yet another battle. People had said that this war would be quick, that we'd all be home by Christmas so to speak, but now that is becoming less and less of a reality and more of a pipe dream. I love you so much, and I miss you more than words can describe. Hope Charlie and Sammy are treating you well, and that everything is okay with you all. Oh, something else I should probably tell you. Remember my friend Benny? Well, he died today. The trench we were in got blown up, and he didn't make it. Conditions here are horrible. Rats are crawling everywhere, blood and mud mixed with the water that covers most of the trenches. People are often sick, or dying. And most, dead already. As this war goes on, I start to lose hope that I will ever see you again. Well anyway, the commander is here now, so I have to go. Love Always, Dean

So here I am, dying... alone... again... I always end up right here, where I started. Dying. Alone. Just when I think it's over, just when I think I'll finally rest, I remember. I remember who I am, my real life, my home, my family. I remember me. Then I wake up and just like that, I forget. Just like that and it's all gone, replaced by new memories, a new life, a new home, but never a family. Till I end up here again, dying... That's the only time i ever actually remember. So here's to those wonderful next sixty seconds that I actually get to be myself, and here's to that one thing that'll keep me searching no matter who I think I am next, that constant need to know everything, the need to fill the gaps; curiosity. I needed to find my family. So there I was, lonely little me, fading away into nothing once again. Missing people that I won't remember tomorrow, but hoping that someday I will find them. I shed one last tear and it all went black.
