Charlie goes to school in the nearby area called Main where tierra de esperanza is regarded as a dump. Also in 1985 we meet Amanda Davis, the daughter of a well respected and overly protective mayor. Amanda hates Charlie. And has always regarded Tierra De Esperanza the way she was taught to, as a nasty dirty dangerous neighborhood. But when forced to work together on a project . Amanda may find out the world her father has been hiding her from and Charlie may find someone he can finally confide in.
