-in 2000, james bourne and matt willis formed a band called busted. eventually, two turned into four, with two other members joining: charlie simpson and tom fletcher. the four became incredibly successful in the pop-punk genre, getting multiple number 1 singles and countless other successful releases. -3 other boys, all with incredibly different lives, live a fairly mediocre lifestyle, contrasting to the rockstar lifestyle they all truly dream to have. -the year is 2004, and busted are going through a rocky patch. tom fletcher is secretly wishing he could continue as a solo artist, charlie simpson is annoyed at the way the media view the band as some "pop boyband", and relationships are struggling. -danny jones is a bartender who plays football for a local club. he spends most of his days at the pub with his mates or (badly) attempting to chat up girls at the bar. -dougie poynter is an awkward teen who has a lot of his own personal struggles. he is unemployed, spending most of the time skating with his small friend group or trying to sell reptiles to help keep his family able to pay the bills. -harry judd is a wealthy, well looked after young man who plays professional cricket. he spends a lot of his time hanging out with the friends he made at boarding school. -these three boys have absolutely no connection to busted. no connection to tom fletcher. and yet somehow, it's written in the stars that someday, these boys' paths will all cross, and their lives will be changed forever. (an au where busted stayed as the four boys, and mcfly never existed. gonna be a cute fanfic which focuses on tom, danny, harry and dougie all meeting in unlikely ways - a display of fate. might have some romance, might have some spicy stuff, who knows.
