Sanditon Regency AU. Sidney Parker and Charlotte Heywood meet in London during a particularly cold Spring.

A fan fiction written for those of us who endured the heart wrenching ending to the final episode of Sanditon (ITV, 2019). [As a possible Season 2] Andrew Davies has written a completion of the last unfinished manuscript by Jane Austen. It's set in 1819 in a new and developing seaside resort on the south coast. This adaptation brings a young Charlotte Heywood to the town where our heroine soon becomes entangled with the lives of the people there. Here, she meets the rather mysterious and taciturn Sidney Parker. As the series continues, love blossoms but things don't go to plan and the series ends on a heartbreaking cliffhanger. I pick up the story here ... This is the first work in Return To Sanditon - Novella Collection. This is a completing work designed to give viewers of Sanditon (2019) a happy ever after with some bumps in the road along the way. We pick up the story shortly after Charlotte's return to Willingden, where she confesses her heartbreak to her sister, Alison. Alison prompts her to seek help and so begins Charlottes campaign to save Sidney from his marriage to Eliza Campion and Sanditon from financial ruin. n.b This is a follow on from Andrew Davies screenplay and is not a sequel to the novelisation by Kate Riordan. Deepdive into Sidney and Charlotte as they fall in love and a CONTINUATION beyond the screen ending. A re-telling and continuation of Sanditon (PBS/ITV) expanding on the thoughts and feelings of Charlotte and Sidney. Of course going beyond the heart-wrenching screen ending. This is the Sanditon book as I want it to be. To my delighted surprise the story won the category 'Other' in the Sanditon Survival book club's (Facebook group for Sanditon lovers) '2020 Sanditon Fanfiction Awards'. What if a meaningful conversation took place prior to the Midsummer Ball? One shot. Regency AU.

The letter had arrived two days ago and Sidney was still trying to comprehend its contents. The news contained within had both grieved him and vexed him in equal measure, so much so that he had struggled to compose a reply, for what response could he make to such a letter? This fanfic follows the story of Sanditon but with a twist. I will write it episode by episode (but split into parts) so it will still largely follow the plot and include all the characters we know and love, but the twist will make things rather different (and hopefully interesting)... As always - a HEA is guaranteed!

Story set shortly after events of Season 1 S

A second series inspired by the women in the Sanditon Sisterhood, in which the female characters find their voice, their strength, their power. Sidney Parker has disappeared. As torrential rain floods the streets of Sanditon, search parties are released to comb the town, the coves and beyond, and as Mary Parker awaits further news at home, she begins to reflect upon the events of the summer that led to this. Charlotte Heywood has returned home to Willingden and very nearly resigned herself to the daily toils of pastoral life, but when an unexpected letter arrives, she must decide whether she is ready to begin anew. Set both in Sanditon and London, this is a story of what might have happened next.

And so a little about Sanditon the show, that occupied me from the moment I first watched.
