Loving girls is something she keeps quiet, tucked away between late-night movies and whispered phone calls with her best friend. Red doesn't belong to Chloe's world-and she doesn't want to. She's older, reckless, sharp-tongued, and infamous for climbing through windows instead of doors. Red lives loud, loves freely, and answers to no one... especially royalty. When Red accidentally breaks into the wrong bedroom, she doesn't steal a thing-except Chloe's attention. What starts as teasing glances and stolen kisses turns into something dangerous. Chloe has everything to lose: her parents' approval, her title, her carefully planned future. Red has already lost enough-and refuses to be someone's secret. Between late-night break-ins, royal events full of unwanted suitors, and parents who demand perfection, Chloe must decide whether being a princess is worth silencing her heart. After changing the past, Red and Chloe go to Auradon Prep together. Everything is fine, until one day, when Red recives a message from her mother telling her to come back to Wonderland for "an important meeting". Red learns that she'll have to find someone to help her rule Wonderland. The thing she doesn't know is that her best friend, Chloe Charming, had feelings for her since the day they met.
