Inspired by the song Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol. All Donnie Taylor-Chavez wants is to catch up to the chaos of life; Pass high school tests, have enough money to sustain herself, apply for every scholarship, and eventually relax and enjoy life as it comes. But no matter how fast she runs to grasp enough time to take a breath, she never seems to be fast enough. Her head is spinning with a million concepts, times, and places to remember, and on top of that, her somewhat large family is a constant recipe for whirlwinds. But there's one person in her life that understands this like no other, more than willing to remind her of the beauty in the chaos, and to simply enjoy a moment of peace with. They're the anchors that keep each other afloat. "Those three words are said too much. They're not enough."

Stella is an 18 year old college student, going to school to be a teacher. She doesn't want to, though. Her real dream is to be a performer, but her mom told her that it wasn't practical. But, when she bumps into Harry Styles in a coffee shop, her life is literally turned upside down. They both have obvious feelings for eachother after only one date. And when she tells Harry her dream to perform, he promises her that he will help her make it come true.

Honestly, I've just had constant thoughts about growing swirling around in my mind, so I wrote a short story based on one of my favorite childhood songs. I wasn't planning on writing anything until I finished "We'll Carry On" (#spon) but this was stuck in my head and I had to write it down. It really isn't about much. 16-year-old Raegan goes to carnival with her close guy friend, expecting to just go on a few rides and eat some cotton candy. She wants to maybe try a few games to test her luck and just overall have fun. Together, they enter the "Fun house" and laugh at the oddly shaped mirrors that make them look hilarious. After a while in the fun house, they realize that the whole time they were in there, no one else was in there. Only them. They go to leave, and when the open the door.. the carnival is.. quite different. They had entered a whole new world. An evil one, perhaps.
