After her first year of college, Daphnie Baker comes home to her sister's graduation expecting it to be like most summers but after her dad books them a house at Lake Wanitka, she is excited to go and spend time with her family. She doesn't expect to fall in love with her dad's arch enemy Jimmy Murtagh's son Daniel. If she dates him, this could ruin the perfect summer she wanted, but she can't resist his charm and kindness.

At the beginning of the first 'Cheaper by the Dozen' movie Charlie doesn't want to move and to be fair none of the Bakers do but what if Charlie runs away and returns 5 years later when the whole family are returning to lake Winnetka with a whole new life? Charlie was never with Beth when they lived in Midland. All characters will be aged a tiny bit differently to what they might be in the actual movies but all the Baker and Murtaugh family will be used in my story.

What happens when her father gets an amazing offer position as a coach at his old college his dream job and her 21 year old boyfriend Steve comes home from the navy and gets offer a position on her father dream team. But things start falling apart when their mother go follow her dream job in New York which makes things difficult for Hayley because she's already a soon to mother of two but now she's has to take care of her siblings for since her parents are rarely home and her eldest sister is living with her boyfriend Kevin nor is her boyfriend Steve is never home. But things get even more difficult when she keeping a big secret for her family and that secret is a big opportunity to the FBI academy. Will she take the offer or will she be a stay an home mom like her mother?

With twelve siblings, seventeen-year-old Daphne Baker seems to have her own connection with all of them particularly her brother Mark. After her family moves after her dad gets his dream job, she tries to be positive but after her mom leaves for New York to do book signings for her new book, she is expected to help her dad out. Of course, that isn't easy with him having a successful career and her trying to be a teenager.
