Hot shot is a five year old boy. He lives with his parents Heatwave and Quickshadow. They were living in a town in Maine. Then they move to Fort Worth Texas when his dad gets a job transfer. Hot shot starts to like his new home a lot. Hot shot is a very active and playful child. He loves to run, jump, climb and play. He is a very kind, caring, smart and brave little boy with a great big heart. Hot shot has been a very healthy boy. But soon after the move Hot shot begins to feel unwell. He has a painful left ankle, he is limping, he has a fever, he is tired, and he has a lump on his ankle. His parents take him to Cook Children's Hospital because Hot shot seems to be getting worse and didn't want to wait till next week with his new pediatrician. The doctors at the hospital do tests to find out why Hot shot is sick. Then Hot shot is diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma a type of bone cancer. Hot shot is brave and ready to fight his cancer head on. Hot shot makes friends with four other children his age with the same type of cancer. They become the best of friends and are going to fight their cancer together. Hiking into the Tucson wilderness with a friend and getting stressed out about the current political climate in the US.

My wife has been diagnosed a few months ago with breast cancer and after a series of appointments, tests, and operations, she started her chemotherapy treatment a few weeks ago. I'm not sure whether I was foolish or brave when I said to my wife that I wanted to show my support, by having my hair shaved off when she starts losing hers, due to the recent start of her chemotherapy treatment. She didn't believe that I'd do it as I haven't shaved my hair since I was a child. I know it's not much in the grand scheme of what she's currently going through, but I am determined to show her how much she means to all of us, so here goes! Off with this... hair!

His parents take him to his pediatrician. His pediatrician sends them to Cook children's to get an MRI. The MRI reveals Hot shot has a brain tumor the size of a peach. The tumor is biopsied and Hot shot is diagnosed with Choroid Plexus Carcinoma a type of brain cancer. Hot shot is brave and ready to face his cancer head on. He makes friends with four other children his age with the same type of cancer. They decide to fight their cancer together and become the best of friends. The next morning they do an MRI and discover that Hot shot has brain tumor. The tumor is in his right temporal lobe towards the frontal lobe. They do a test on the tumor and Hot shot is diagnosed with Atypical Teratoid Rhabdoid Tumor or ATRT a type of brain tumor that is brain cancer. Hot shot is brave and ready to face this head on. In the hospital Hot shot makes friends with four other kids his age with the same type of cancer. They decide to fight their cancer together and become the best of friends.
