Mandy and Chester are high school students, where Mandy secretly has an altar ego called the "Candy Queen", where she answers questions from students after they put slips of paper into a box labeled "Ask for Advice". One day, Mandy receives a question from a person named "Jack of All Trades", asking for advice on how to confess to someone. When she finds out that it was Chester, and that he was referring to her, she struggles on how to reveal that she knew about this the whole time.

Ever since her little brother's death, Milly has noticed changes in her fathers behavior and appearance." They had fought over something, stupid, and now Parker was putting on a whole act for Chester (in chesters opinion, hes dating a drama king.)

Chester has his heart broken by someone he thought was perfect for him. On the eve of his breakup, he receives word of a band in California that wishes to hear more from him, and is ultimately accepted into the band with little to no hesitation. He didn't think his heartbreaker would eventually come back, especially while he was getting cozy with a fellow band member. Emotions come crashing back into him as does the waves in the ocean that lies behind his ex's eyes. (Love triangle)
