Everything started with a virus.
It didn't kill people-it twisted them.
Those infected developed an uncontrollable thirst for blood and a violent, predatory instinct, almost like vampires. The majority of cases appeared in people under thirty, spreading faster than anyone expected.
A suppressant was eventually created. Not a cure, just something to keep the hunger under control. The bloodlust never disappears-it's only restrained.
To stop society from collapsing, governments around the world build control organizations.
Their job is to contain the infected, monitor them, and train healthy individuals to face them. These "controllers" are taught how to resist fear, overpower infected humans, and make hard decisions when things go wrong.
Blue Lock is one of those organizations.
It's a closed, high-security facility where infected individuals who still have control are sent, alongside uninfected trainees being shaped into enforcers.
Inside Blue Lock, everyone is constantly tested-physically, mentally, and morally.
Among the new recruits is Rio Teieri, the younger brother of Anri Teieri.
Trained to be a controller, Rio's mission is clear: keep the infected in check, enforce order, and prevent chaos from spreading inside Blue Lock.
But controlling the infected is never simple. Each one tests his limits, pushes his instincts, and forces him to face a harsh truth: in a place where survival depends on strength and control, even the people meant to protect humanity can lose themselves.
Rio must navigate this deadly balance-between humanity and the monster-and discover whether he can control the infected... without becoming one of them
