So what if just one person can make him show everyone who he really is? Seishiro is one boy of the lower class, he might not be at the border of existence but he still cannot be considered "wealthy" in any way. Other than the boys around his age that try to enjoy life to the fullest while they have the chance, the young boy of the Nagi family does not have such dreams or enjoyments. If the boys around him were "carpe diem" in "memento mori", Seishiro would be "vanitas". He does not see a reason to do anything like that when it doesn't have an excitable outcome.
