A series of short stories about children from the fictional "Hermit Crab's Shell" orphanage. The shell kidnaps children from unsafe environments and brings them to an island to live together in peace (kind of like a more realistic neverland). This book is a compilation of different stories ranging from abuse and trauma (with trigger warnings) to simple everyday life on the island. NOTICE: the Shell is a place to escape the troubles of life, that's what I use it as when writing. This isn't a serious story with a running plot (yet)

The world that Maylun is in might be a little different from yours. Now, apart from the telepathic abilities amongst twins, the world that Maylun lives in is no different than what could be happening on your Earth. The government has little power, but large influence. They're desperate to cling on to the people's hopes, always making futile promises and grand speeches. But it's clear that there is a harsh line between us all. No one is quite as equal as they should be, but there is one cause for our unity- defiance. Solidarity has formed in passive defiance, and we all wait for the day where we could return to a much more integral world. A selfless world without any traces of tyrannic hypocrisy. Meanwhile, Maylun is a small youth- almost eight in age- and his young eyes soon meet the pair of much older ones. Despite their distance, Maylun, was somehow able to feel that burn in his chest too. WARNING: This story is currently rated appropriate for all ages. It will soon become graphic in terms of violence or gore, and for that, it will be rated M soon. However, the author will make it very clear if a chapter will contain any violent imagery. That being said, all violent imagery will still be suitable for 13+. Please notify the author of any trigger warnings that need to be added under this warning label. Thank you, and happy reading!

Hello! My name is Turquoise Lazuli and this is a story about my family! "Starlight, star bright, first star I see tonight, I wish I may, I wish I might have this one wish tonight. Hey star, I wish my mommies could be together but their mommies don't like them together because they're my mommies. Big emphasis on that S at the end. But I want them to be happy together, with me. Please star, let us be together, I promise that when I grow up and become a mommy too, I'll let my kid love whoever they want, so just grant my wish?" I said looking longingly up at the night sky. Corvo's parents are legendary heroes. Corvo will be a hero, too. Someday. But not yet. For now he's just a little boy. And while his mother is constantly embroiled in intrigue, drama, and adventure, he's going to have to do his best to stay safe and tag along. It's an exciting way to grow up. THE CROW starts after Corvo's mother brings him to a remote tower in the wilderness, yet before long things there begin to seem wrong. What is the strange thing that lurks in the tower's darkest places, and what has it done to young Corvo's shadow? This book is a sequel to MANASEARED, currently available on Royal Road, but is otherwise stand-alone.

A chain of love binds them to someone they will never have - not in this life, not in any that follows. Loyalty begins to rot into obsession, sanity thinning with every unspoken word. Emotions coil through their veins, clawing at the nerves, yet silence remains the only vow they are allowed to keep. Vulnerability festers. Anticipation aches. Desire stands still, suspended in time - burdened with questions everyone understands and no one dares to answer. And when all that remains is ruin, one question survives the wreckage: "The beloved... or the love itself?" -------------------------------

We were born miscreated, and because of it, people treat us differently. In ways we don't like. The world doesn't accept us, so we hide away from it all. We live together. We work together. We stay together as one. We are the strangest family the world hasn't seen. TRIGGER WARNING: This story is grotesque, creepy, fucked-up, and bizzare. Whilst it is taken from the POV of a child, this story is not AT ALL for kids.
