Took care of Emilia, with the help of Emily and Richard, and his parents, Francine and Straub. He went on to marry his now wife Sherry Tinsdale, who had a daughter the same age as Emilia. Lorelai never took the time to visit or call her other daughter. She pretended she only had one, and told Rory that it was her cousin every time they went a family event. So when Rory gets accepted into Chilton. Everything goes down.
