Everyone in the Ball family is tied up with both basketball and romance. Lonzo's got Denise, Gelo has Isabella, LaVar's been with Tina, and LaMelo has nothing except a basketball. After years of him being by himself LaMelo is searching for a girl he can proudly call his lover, a girl that understands the difficulty of being occupied with sports and school simultaneously. Although he's not extremely anxious or nervous, his palms are sweaty when Mrs. Brenes introduces him to his partner, Kalani Grey. Kalani Grey is a sophomore and sometimes referred to as "bench warmer" when it comes to soccer since the coaches appreciate everyone else more than her. All the attention is focused on Ashley Gonzales, the leading forward for the team.
