Chip "Chipsie" Hartford is depressed since her best friend Jesse died. Chipsie lost her best friend to an accident, but that's not the only thing she lost. She also lost her motivation; the motivation to live and the motivation to do well academically. If Chipsie doesn't pull her D to a B soon she'll be transferred to The McKendree School for the Socially Impaired, A.K.A. The Depression School. Bianca Swanson had her entire future planned out. She'd be valedictorian, go to Oxford, and become an historian. But then she died. Her dying wish was for her longtime best friend, Celeste, to fulfill her dreams she'd never accomplish. And Celeste agreed.
