Oreki Houtarou es un chico reservado que prefiere observar el mundo desde su rincón, evitando el contacto innecesario con los demás. Su vida transcurre sin sobresaltos hasta que Eru Chitanda, una nueva compañera, llega a su clase. Con su naturaleza extrovertida y curiosa, ella no tarda en fijarse en Oreki, desafiando su indiferencia. Poco a poco, su persistencia logra abrir una grieta en el muro que Oreki ha construido alrededor de sí mismo, y lo que comienza como un incómodo encuentro se convierte en el inicio de algo más profundo.

Then one day Chitanda said, "Watashi, kininarimasu!"-and everything changed. Not the mysteries-I still solve those through deduction. Not the school-Kamiyama High is still that club-filled institute. Not even my energy levels-I am still as lazy as ever. But... The position of the cherry blossom tree feels a little off. The book titles seem different in the Classics Club room. Every time I solve one of the mysteries Chitanda brings me, the world feels... thinner. I should stop. I should walk away. But then she looks at me with those hopeful, violet eyes, and I can't. Because this time, the mysteries she is coming up with are not so mundane. And I'm starting to wonder if I'm just solving them... or causing them.

Continues after the hyouka series...Life is normal but what happens when all four of them are going to the school trip, what mystery awaits for them. Will Oreki solve this one or will he fall for her?

This is a fan-made story version of Hyouka (Japanese: 氷菓 Hepburn: Hyōka, literally "frozen dessert") an anime from a 2001 Japanese mystery novel written by Honobu Yonezawa. [special credits to the owners of the pictures] - a c h i l d o f 1 9 9 8 -

My story is set directly after the events of Hyouka Volume 6, and I have included an excerpt of the final two parts from (a Japanese to Mandarin to English translation of) Honobu Yonezawa's book in the beginning. Note that the excerpt is mostly as the translators wrote, but with certain additions and subtractions for brevity/aesthetics, as well as some grammatical tweaks. My original 'continuation' begins after the line break; however, I would recommend that you still read from the start as my writing style is a little different from the translators/editors. Notes: P.S. This was originally intended to be a one-shot. Chapter 001 is not rated MA, as it just includes the final parts from Volume 06 and a direct continuation therefrom. The rating might change to MA with further chapters (should I happen to write them).
