Book 1 in the "Sahadev Vāmāṅgaṁ" series. "Before their eyes ever met, destiny had already whispered their names to one another." Vijaya. Her very name meant Triumph. Princess of Madra was born beneath auspicious stars, her arrival breathing life into a kingdom long acquainted with silence and sorrow. Every step she took seemed to usher in prosperity, every smile carrying the warmth of a thousand dawns. A living reflection of Shalya's noble blood, she was the cherished sister of Madra's princes-the jewel of their hearts and the pride of their lineage. Pampered with affection and guarded with devotion, Vijaya grew amidst love, laughter, and royal splendor. She was the melody that echoed through palace corridors, the ray of sunlight that painted hope upon weary walls, the blessing Madra never knew it needed. Yet destiny seldom follows the path laid by mortal hearts. When the threads of Fortune entwined itself with a Fortune-Teller, the princess found herself captivated by the youngest son of Maharaj Pandu. And when the enigmatic prince of Hastinapur crossed paths with Madra's eternal beacon, her heart became the wager in a game neither fate nor time intended to play fairly. "She was the dawn to his endless night, and he was the answer to every prayer she never spoke aloud."
