Of all the words in the universe, it might've been are the saddest ones. They speak of lost potential, a greatness that never was. But what is even worse is being oblivious to the love around, and the love you feel. Maybe the worst thing is waking up after years of friendship and realizing just why your gaze always seems to travel to the kindest eyes in any room and the person they belong to. Always a thousand things to say and a thousand reasons not to. Zendaya and Val are growing apart from each other as they go on with their lives. Their friendship is haunted by unsaid things and the people they have let close to them. Will they be able to find their way to where they first started or are they destined to be a footnote in each other's stories?
