It was simply, a story. But upon rereading, I find that my takeaway is "Focus on the value of what you have, as opposed to the percieved value of what you don't". Don't envy the normalcy of another's love, especially if it will only hurt your own. As I mentioned earlier, this story has two endings, a "True"/Happy ending. And a secondary/bad ending. The first ending, is the one I like the best, but after writing it I felt that this story couldn't survive without the second ending to remind us of the consequences of our envy.
