"I'm right here, Sweetheart," she said as she brushed my hair with one hand and rubbed my back in small circles with the other to calm me down. Though she wasn't my actual mother I couldn't help but think of her as my mother sometimes. My mother and her were alike sometimes it made me miss my actual mom more but for right now I couldn't help but love her company.
