Anupama Joshi has lost everything; The Shah Family and her Anuj and Choti. But before she decides to commit suicide, Kavya comes and gives a child to her saying "Anupama, this is my daughter Mahira, I had her 9 years ago and I've kept her in Ooty with her father's mother. But recently she died and well since you are anyway leaving, I thought she could get the mother love that she needs from you. Anupama, I am begging you, please raise her. You can do anything but please accept her as your daughter". Anupama without hesitance accepted Mahira and adored her. She has finally her reason to live and decides that she will only live for her darling daughter. Anupama moves to NYU with Mahira as she gets a job offer in a restaurant and slowly, for her daughter, she becomes a big name in the cooking industry and owns many restaurants.
