This story was inspired by several Phantom Fics that I have read reread and loved. I want to make a special shout out to Lady Rosesong (CarmelaCamilla) on Ao3 who wrote: Phantom's beauty. It's one of my favorites and is the inspiration for Erik's underground Opera family. Phantom's beauty is a true masterpiece. So shout out to you.
