She knows that she shouldn't be doing it and that Simon is engaged to be married but can she gets over her grief and end up falling back in love or will she end up getting hurt again?

Charlee Mulgrew is the nineteen year old daughter to Christine Mulgrew. Charlee has been forced to grow up quicker Than she was expected due to her mums alcoholism. Charlee is struggling with an eating disorder because of it and constantly feels as if she is not good enough. Tom and Charlee start to date but Tom can tell that Charlee Is keeping things from him. He can tell that she isn't herself. When Tom finds out over Charlees eating disorder he tried his best to be there for her but can he help her see who she really is and help her defeat her eating disorder or will he give up on her like everyone else has done?

Alexis has bulimia and is struggling bad with it. Alexis tries to act as if she's fine and that things are osky but in reality. It is all eating her up inside. When Alexis discovers that she is pregnant. She knows it won't be easy, it's not just her health but her unborn baby's health at risk as she struggles with her eating disorder. Can Alexis overcome her struggles and ask for help or will she push those close to her away?

Aimee Mulgrew is the girlfriend of Simon lowsley and the exchanged daughter of Christine Mulgrew. Aimee hated her mother for being a drunk and for the difficult childhood that she had and how she was forced to grow up quicker than she should of. When Simon starts to work at Waterloo road and Christine and George start to plot against him. He knees that he needs support and he knows that it is Aimee. Simon managed to pull some strings and get Aimee in at Waterloo road as a teacher. Aimee knows it's the last place she wants to be Aimee soon comes face to face with her Mother and sees how she treats Simon and she isn't happy. She hated how she treats him. Aimee starts to plot with Simon in order to take Christine down and help him get the heads job but with the strain of Simon wanting the job and the strain of Aimee and Christine exchanged relationship can Aimee and Simon still make it work and be happy or will it all blow up in their faces?

Nikki Mulgrew lives with her dad and half sister in Florida. Her fathers new wife is moving in and Nikki is against it and in the process of 'welcoming' her new step mum into the house she gets kicked out and sent to her mother in Scotland. Her mother, Christine Mulgrew is a teacher at Waterloo road, a recovering alcoholic and lives in a flat with fellow teacher Miss Mcfall. When Nikki shows up she is angry at her mother for abandoning her and is ready to make Christine's life a living hell. When Nikki proves to much to handle, will Christine hit the bottle once again? Nikki doesn't find making enemies a difficult challenge with on going fights with the likes of Lisa, will something or somebody change her to help her right some wrongs?
