This is a story with original characters, Chris and James. Chris is a young girl who just moved into her mother's old apartment but she can't pay it alone so she sends out a post saying how she needs a roommate when her old friend James comes and lives with her. But everything changes when they get a letter that was sent 50 years ago. This story takes place in 2025 after covid. I am writing this story for the Bethlehem writing competition.This is a story about a Christmas card that was sent 50 years too late. ⚠️Warnings⚠️ Swearing Angst 1236 words

One snowy December morning, Nicola Meyer awakens to find a weathered ivory envelope on her doorstep. She could tell from the cursive script which was addressed to a Miss Elizabeth Claire and the vintage stamp that this letter wasn't from her time. Upon further inspection she could make out that the Monarch on the stamp was King George IV...meaning this letter was at least 50 years old. She was in awe at how this letter turned up that day, but she made a promise that day to find this woman. She couldn't explain this feeling but she just knew, deep down that this letter was important and Elizabeth deserved to know. This is a short story that I'm submitting for @TheCVCommunity Bethlehem: The Shining Award Show.
